Program

Our program accepts girls, rising 8th through 12th graders, with skating experience, as well as new skaters. We are looking for girls who want an opportunity to play a varsity sport at CHS.  Our players develop their hockey skills, support their teammates and build enduring capabilities in how to achieve.

We provide a place for developing players, which we balance with our competitive season in the Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL).

Last year, we had 23 players, of whom five were new skaters. We are limited to a game roster of 20 players.  For this reason, newer skaters rotate play for games.  All players participate in all team practices and club activities.

We have an experienced group of coaches who care about our players and provide coaching based on where our players are in their development.

Last year, we won a playoff game and made the Flyers Cup Tournament for the first time in eight years, great accomplishments and building blocks for this coming season.

New players: We plan a free “Give It A Try” ice session at the end of Summer/early Fall, an opportunity for all interested girls to get on the ice with coaches and some current players. (But, the “Give It A Try” is not mandatory to join us.) There are also summer clinics and skating lessons that are available starting July 28th.

Please email tony.parisi14@yahoo.com for information.

Goalies: We are currently looking to add a young goaltender to our team. This is a position for a girl who is ambitious to try goalie and see if she wants to pursue it. We expect a learning curve, and we will strongly support our new goalies. We have an excellent, dedicated goalie coach who has trained 30 goalies. Experience in other sports can translate. We have goalie equipment for girls to try the position.
